Saturday, March 26 – We are in the middle of a yucky spring snow storm. We had another set of one black\/one white twins out in the snow. The black one died already of hypothermia and the white one is in pretty tough shape. We got it tube fed with warm milk, put it in the calf warmer\u00c2\u00a0and now it is wait and see. This is the kind of weather that is a real calf killer. They don’t have much of a chance when they are born outside right now. I think this is the part of having cattle that I like the least. I have too tender of a heart. This is shot of my Traveler cow.I had her artificially bred\u00c2\u00a0last summer and\u00c2\u00a0have been anxiously waiting for that special calf and so was she.\u00c2\u00a0Very sad outcome, though.\u00c2\u00a0She lost her beautiful calf a couple of days ago. Someone let her out of the corral when the calf was just a few hours old\u00c2\u00a0without asking me and her calf got trampled by other cows. I so wish that we could find a baby for her to raise. We need to have another set of twins really soon for that to work, though. I started my Photoshop class last night and it is a good one. There are five of us from camera club that are going which makes it extra nice. Curtis, Kimberley and I had dinner before at Chilis and a nice visit. Fun time.<\/p>\n
