Window on Cherry Pie Lane

What a day!!

We had blizzard conditions for several hours today. Once when the wind died down, there were really cool “dundogs” that appeared around the sun. Couldn’t help but grab the camera and open that sliding door.  All were shot manual at ISO 100,  F/11, and !/320 to 1/1000s.  The snow moved right back in shortly so I had to shoot fast and furious. Here are a few that I got.......

Day 2

I know I should be sharing snow photos, but I am so sick of snow and cold weather that I could scream. I just want to forget about it right now. I decided to haul out my macro and see what I could come up with. These are paper clip trombones. I disagree, they look more like @ signs to me.  Anyway, I used natural light from a south window, shot with my 50mm macro set at manual focus and ISO 200, F/4.5 and 1/20s.  Not the greatest photo, but something different. I will see if I can come up with anything later that is better.

Shep wanted in too

Shep was sitting there so sad and all, that I decided to get him in on the day’s shoot too.

Day 1 photo

I am going to try to do a photo a day this year. This being the first day of January 2009, I am posting my feeble attempt. I so badly need some motivation!! The dog and cat wouldn’t even cooperate, not to mention the weathe; wind and snow, is all that we get lately. I decided to shoot a ‘cat bath’. I know, weird, right?!
