Day 276 Chinook Arch?

Sunday, October 3 – I took these on Monday night from the playground in Fort Benton. Wish I had been up on top of the hill and could have looked toward Great Falls. Guess this is the view you get of sunsets when you live in Fort Benton. I read in the Wednesday Tribune about the Chinook Arch and am assuming that is what I was seeing with all the spectacular color. My view was very limited, so had to find a break in the trees to get some shots. Nothing last night, darn. Will keep looking tonight and hope for some clouds and color. I think shooting up by Shep’s grave might be a good view.

Day 275 I Am So Caught!

Saturday, October 2 – Here is little Lily pouting away on the park bench. She did really well for her 1 minute timeout. She got up once and had to start over. Ah, darn, those big guys have rules that just stink!!! Why can’t I throw gravel? It’s fun and nobody got hurt?? The ride down the slide is real interesting with all that gravel I threw on it. Oh, well, I will be more careful next time or, at least, won’t get caught.

Day 274 In Big Trouble X2

Friday, October 1 – Another month has passed and Halloween is almost upon us. Tiffany spent a couple days here in Fort Benton and we had such a good time. The cousins got to play and it was wild. We took the 4 of them to the local pizza place and then to the park for some quality play time. It was gorgeous weather and the kiddos had so much fun. Too much fun!! As these photos show, Bryton and his side kick, Lily, got a bit wild and had to take a brief timeout from the activities. I love how Bryton is watching as Lily gets the ‘word’ and then he gets it and looks the other way. Guilty as charged!! Just need to chill for a bit before getting in trouble for not listening again.

Day 273 Some Very Bright Berries

Thursday, Sept. 30 – Lily and I were waiting for Tristan this last week and noticed these bright colored berries on a tree by the school. Just couldn’t help myself but grab my Gll and shoot a couple. Don’t know what kind of tree this is, but it was a goodie.

Day 272 Now Look What I Can Do

Wednesday, Sept. 29 – Lily has a new trick that she thinks is so funny. Tristan is so grossed out by her. When she wants attention she puts her whole hand in her mouth and gags herself until she throws up. Cute, huh? It definitely gets my attention. Poor Tristan has such a weak stomach that it triggers him to start gagging too. Kids!!! We hear from Kristie everyday and have even received some emailed photos. Tristan is so excited to see what they are bringing him home. They are leaving Africa tomorrow and head to Amsterdam than for a week hopping around Europe. I am getting pretty good at getting Tristan up and to school. We worked on a family project tonight which is poster telling about him. I printed up lots of photos over the weekend which we then collaged on the poster.

Day 271 Same Flower, Different Angle

Tuesday, September 28 – These pretty gals/guys are growing right close to Tristan’s school. We walk by them every morning and afternoon. The bees have been really going after them lately. Thought I would get a couple slightly different angles if this unusual beauty.

.

Day 270 I Am Not Listening To You

Monday, September 27 – Lily has learned a new trick. She plugs her ears when I tell her to do something she doesn’t want to do. Cute!!

Day 269 Hi, Mom and Dad

Sunday, September 28 – Nick and Kristie are having a great time in Africa. The wedding is/was Saturday. I am excited to see some photos. Facebook won’t let Kristie on to post photos. Something about being from Africa. Strange. Tristan has been big on emailing his mom with photos each day. So each afternoon we take pictures and upload them. These were two of the first ones. Not so sure that Lily was thrilled about the whole thing. Things have been going well here; lots of wash and picking up after the rug rats. Make sure to click on the photos to enlarge to appreciate those big eyes.

Day 268 A Furry Fort Benton Bee

Saturday, September 25 – I shot this one by Tristan’s school this afternoon. with my G11. One of neighborhood houses has beautiful flowers in the front yard and the bees agree they are pretty ‘tastey’. Make sure to click on them to enlarge, so you can see how furry that bee really is(especially that first one). Tristan is wanting to touch them to see if they are soft. Not advisable!! Tristan got to talk to his mom and dad today from Africa. He was pretty excited.Tristan is 5 and he wanted everyone to know that he typed that number and his name – tristan.

Day 267 There is Nothing Like a Fall Mum

Friday, September 24 – There is nothing quite like a mum to hang on to summer. They are so beautiful in the fall. I hope to get mine to keep blooming for a few weeks and then move them inside for the winter. They make great macro and Lensbaby shots too.
