I am doing this to avoid any delay the knee surgery might force on me. I am scheduled on April 8th and will be layed up for a few days according to the doc. I know that is tomorrow according to the blog date. But this is actually a little over a week away on March 30.

Day 97 My Brother Stole The Only Horse

Wednesday, April 7 – Poor Bryton wasn’t fast enough to get to the horse first. Surprising, as he is the one that usually runs right over the top of his brother. That look might indicate some plan he has for brother. What out Gage! Bryton is a good rider too and took several rides while he was here. We also have Carl’s original 40 year old spring loaded rocking horse that they ride with help.

Day 96 This Is Horse Enough For Me Right Now

Tuesday, April 6 – Gage looks like he has enough horse to handle right now. He looks to me like he is going to grow up to be a rancher, just like his daddy. Bryant will sure be able to teach him and his brother all about horses. Tiffany is coming with the boys for the weekend and I am excited to have some company.

Day 95 Look What Grandpon Got me

Monday, April 5 – Some more shots of the birthday boy. He is a born hunter/fisherman. As you can see he got a gun from Grandpa and Grandma. I think the fake bullets were almost more interesting to him than the rifle. One of his little buddies got him a fishing pole, so he is all set. His mom and dad got him a new bike with training wheels, so he is going to be ‘something’ on wheels now.

Day 94 What a Hat, Mr. Doorman!

Sunday, April 4 – This is the door man who greeted us yesterday for the birthday party. A former employee of Nick’s, now going to culinary school down south, sent it for Tristan.  The wind is dying down out there.  The storm might really be on the way. Weatherman says 60% tonight.

Day 93 What A Party!

Saturday, April 3 – Tristan had one heck of a good birthday party yesterday with a whole table full of buddies. Kristie made a delicous lunch (a to die for pasta salad, yum) and there were cupcakes for dessert. Here are some shots I took with my G11. They are not the best. It is pretty hard to take creative shots on crutches. The wind is howling even worse today (on Monday). There is supposed to be a storm blowing in.

Day 92 Happy 5th Birthday, Tristan!!

Friday, April 2 – Today is actually March 28 and it is Tristan’s 5th birthday. He has been talking about being 5 for months now and that day has finally arrived. These shots were all with my 100mm macro which I have been loving for portraits lately.  I am way ahead on my blog posts, but figured I better get with it so that I don’t get behind when I have that knee surgery. The wind is howling out there today. I sure hope it isn’t blowing in a storm.

Day 91 Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad

Thursday, April 1- Today is Mom and Dad’s wedding anniversary- 63 years!!  I am so proud of having parents that have stayed together through thick and thin all these years. We have always teased them about getting married on April Fools Day.  In honor of their special day, I am posting some rose shots I did for my photography class.

Is it really a flower?

I sure thought it was a flower, and a pretty orange one at that. When I touched it, I found it was just a “puff” of plastic that happened to land right there like a flower would be growing. I thought it was a very nice looking flower and sure was fooled.

I  got my preop blood test and EKG done at the hospital this morning. Now I am all set in case they call me early. I told the doc I was more than willing to take an earlier time if someone cancels. My leg is doing okay. I am a bit tired this afternoon after my morning jaunt from one end of the hospital to the other. I am getting pretty good at crutches. Not something I want to be good at though.

Day 90 Does Anyone Know What Kind of Flower This Is?

Wednesday, March 31 – Snapped this one in Jamaica on our way to Dunn River Falls. Can anyone tell me what kind of flower this is? I loved it because it is my favorite color, Orange. Very unusual looking, isn’t ii?
