Day 203 Missoula Trio

Wednesday, July 22 – Today is judging day at the Montana State Fair. It was a whole lot of work last year and I would imagine it will be again this year. Here are a couple of photos from the World Wide Photo Walk. I am the one that actually took the self portraits, as  we were reflected in a window at the Carousel. As you can see, there are other photo walk attendees taking photos too.  It was almost a 100 out when we were walking. Those backpacks full of gear got very heavy and very hot. Lots more photos to go through yet.

More Of The New Haircut

Here are a couple more of that new haircut of Tristan’s. I think it makes his eyes look even bigger. I His goofy little expressions are priceless. t sure was fun having them here today. Lily is so good and drinks like a trooper from a sippy cup now.

Day 202 I Trimmed My Own Hair!

Tuesday, July 21 – We are off to the mountains today to take the cows up to their late summer pasture. I bet they are going to enjoy the shade and cooler temps. I am going to help sort and then sit and wait to load trucks. Guess I will take my camera gear along and see what I can find to capture.  The Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk was fantastic in Missoula. I had so much fun and took so many photos. The group ended up joining a street party at the end which was an experience in itself.  I had the grandkiddos here for the day while Nick and Kirstie tiled their bathroom. Finally got some good shots of Tristan’s new haircut. His daddy actually did it and considering he had just given himself a trim, it looks really good. Make sure to click on the photos to enlarge them to take a look at those eyes of his. They don’t look real. I sure don’t need to buy Photoshop to improve his eyes, do I?  I still need to go through all the Missoula photos, so they will be coming later this week.

I Can Do It, I Think I Can

Lily is determined to walk by 8 months. She seems pretty little at 7 months to be so brave. These photos just say daring to me. I love how she looks like she is shaking her fist at me in that one.

Day 201 Oh, My Poor Nose

Monday, July 20 – Poor little Lily Jade had a tumble the other day and skinned up her nose. I was going to edit the ‘ouwy’ out, but decided it added a cute touch to the photos. It is what is real with her right now. She is starting to consider walking; that one hand stance is a dead giveaway.  That is awfully early at 7 months.

Day 200 Hey, Bob!!!

Sunday, July 19 – This is Bob and he belongs to Brooke, Chase and Brynn. He is the same dog that Marilynn is hugging in a previous post. I think he is a Schnoodle, but I might be wrong. Brooke and Chase will have to straighten me out on what breed he is. (Thanks, Brooke, for letting me know what breed they are. I was wrong that they were Labradoodles). They also have his sister, Clara. He has black skin, like a polar bear and his hair is curly. Clara has white skin and has straight hair. They are such pretty, well mannered dogs.  He likes to play statue sitting on this rock in their backyard.  It is a beautiful day today; supposed to be in the 80s and up to 90s on Saturday. I just hope the hail stays away. The guys are finishing up haying and will be starting to swath all the grain soon. It is already starting to turn golden all around here. The state fair starts next week and I am judging the rubber stamping again.

Day 199 It’s Marilynn’s Turn

Saturday, July 18 – Today is Marilynn’s day to be up on Grandma’s PAD. I did a little preset stuff on the swing photos. The other one is of Bob with Marilynn. He belongs to the my other grandkiddos and is so darned cute.

Right Out Of The Camera

Monday, July 13 – This is what the photos looked like of my granddaughter right out of the camera. I used a Lightroom Preset to change the tone in the earlier posted ones. I am not sure which I like better; the originals or the preset ones. Brooke came up with the idea for the candle and I really like them.  I just kept bracketing and still am not sure how dark I liked it best.  The Lightroom Presets are a whole lot of fun; I just have not used them much. I usually like what comes out of the camera best with no post processing. I guess I got that from Bryan Peterson’s class. He always stressed it is best to shoot it the way you want and not have to fix it after.  I am way ahead with my photos this week. There were just so many fun ones that I had to share. Marilynn is up next and then it is Lily and Tristan. There will be more sneaking in of Brooke from time to time too. I did some flower shots yesterday before a thunderstorm hit. Funny how after I took that Lensbaby class, I prefer that lens for my flower shots. I didn’t use it yesterday and wish that I had. Kathleen and Ron got me totally addicted, I guess.

Day 198 Brooke, You’re On

Friday, July 17 – Here you go again, Brooke. l love these shots. Your idea with the candle was great. I have two of them here for you to enjoy.

Day 197 It’s Your Day, Chase!

Thursday, July 16 – It’s Chase’s day today.  I would have liked to have had more light and a different background for these, but I think you still look handsome as can be. It is hard to believe that my oldest grandchild is almost in high school. He has grown into such a handsome young man.
