Day 186 Class Is Over

Sunday, June 5 – I am having internet problems and thought that as long as I can get on here today, I better post for Sunday too. I can not receive any emails at all. Something to do with Explorer 8 which I downloaded this morning. It goofed everything up. Come Monday, I will contact my computer tech and see what he thinks. Wildblue support was not "supportive" at all and just told me to get other help. Thank heavens I was able to upload my final Lensbaby assignment. We are heading out to the cabin shortly. Walter is swathing hay and it doesn’t look like we are going to get there much before dark. It rained here at my house, but not down at the shop. I am going to share some flower shots I did with the Lensbaby. I would like to see just a bit sharper focus on the dragon’s tongue. That has been the hardest thing for me to get used to using that lens; the soft focus, at times.  I was using a +10 macro filter which seems to soften it even more. My class is officially over when the critiques are done on Monday. My new Portraits class starts on Friday, so I have a few days break.

Day 185 Off To The Cabin

Saturday, July 4th – We are heading out today for our cabin, so I better post today for tomorrow. Hope to be getting some fireworks tomorrow night. We are about to get some courtesy of mother nature, as a thunderstorm is rolling in. I got my new Canon 70-200 F2.8 L IS USM lens yesterday in the mail and will be trying it out tomorrow night.  These are shots of the old homestead house right close to our cabin. Walter’s grandparents lived there many years ago. It is totally inaccessible in the winter, so I am sure that Grandma had many lonely days when the snow was deep.

Day 184 Here comes the 4th

Friday, July 3 – Tomorrow is the 4th, so in anticipate, I am posting a few more shots of fireworks that I did last weekend in Fort Benton. I hope to shoot the display in Great Falls for the 4th.

Day 183 – Our Cabin in the Highwoods

Thursday, July 2 – I took this with the Lensbaby last Sunday when we were up at our cabin. I think we will be spending some time up there this weekend too. It is so pretty and green right now.  We visited Gibson Park this evening (Wednesday) for me to shoot some of the flowers. There was a young gal there with her camera that Walter got visiting with. She had me look at the pictures that she had taken and we had such a nice visit.  I don’t know if I got any shots that are decent that I can use for class or not. Downloading comes next.
