Day 277 Low Key Katie

Sunday, October 4 – Here is a low key photo of Marilynn’s best friend, Katie.  It is an example of Rembrandt lighting. She looks very sophisticated, doesn’t she?  Well, our winter storm is on it’s way. Supposed to be 70% tomorrow, 100% tomorrow night and 70% again on Monday. The wind is still blowing here. I stayed home today and made some cards for World Card Making Day. I also worked on my photo assignment. It has been quite a job picking out which photos to use. They are due tomorrow, so will be uploading in the morning.

Eyes

Debbie, You are right, those are Marilynn’s eyes. Isn’t it neat that we can identify people by just their eyes. I wonder if it would work with others? I might have to put some more up and see if you can figure out who they belong to.

Day 276 Can You Identify These Eyes?

Saturday, October 3 – Winter storm watch for tomorrow. Can you believe that?  What a way to start October. They are calling for a couple of inches locally and a whole lot more in the mountains. I sure hope the weather man is wrong.  I went to the Great Falls High homecoming parade yesterday. Son-in-law, Gregg, who is the coach, was riding on the float with the football players and I did get to wave at him. I was exposed to the flu today and sure hope that I have an immune system that is going to fight it.  I have mystery photos for today. Who do you think these eyes belong to?

Day 275 Brrr!!

Friday, October 2 – It was so cold yesterday and a wind to chill a person to the bone on top of it. I am so not ready for this weather. I am like Jade; I like to curl up to the propane stove downstairs. Have been working on my class assignment and have it about ready to go up. I have to do a photo of shape, texture, contrast, line and pattern. I have all and feel good about them, except for shape. I might have to run out and take a couple more to be sure. There is a whole lot of overlap on some of these. It was not as hard of an assignment this week.  I will be getting my final assignment today for the class. What to take next? This instructor has been trying to talk me in to taking her painting photos class. I don’t think I am ready until I get Photoshop under my belt. It sounds like a class I could really use. She thinks I would enjoy it with my flowers photos. I heard from Bryan Peterson and all is set for the workshop in less than two weeks. We are praying for decent weather for good shooting and no flu. I have been watching this grow down at Gibson Park all summer. I thought it was corn for the longest time. It looked just like it, but is at least 10 feet tall and has no corn cobs on it. The sign says it is an ornamental grass. I think it is rather cool stuff. They have a type of beet growing right next to it and then rainbow swiss chard next to that. Very interesting things grow there. The perennials are gorgeous and I have been sharing shots of those lately too.
