Friday, October 2 – It was so cold yesterday and a wind to chill a person to the bone on top of it. I am so not ready for this weather. I am like Jade; I like to curl up to the propane stove downstairs. Have been working on my class assignment and have it about ready to go up. I have to do a photo of shape, texture, contrast, line and pattern. I have all and feel good about them, except for shape. I might have to run out and take a couple more to be sure. There is a whole lot of overlap on some of these. It was not as hard of an assignment this week. I will be getting my final assignment today for the class. What to take next? This instructor has been trying to talk me in to taking her painting photos class. I don’t think I am ready until I get Photoshop under my belt. It sounds like a class I could really use. She thinks I would enjoy it with my flowers photos. I heard from Bryan Peterson and all is set for the workshop in less than two weeks. We are praying for decent weather for good shooting and no flu. I have been watching this grow down at Gibson Park all summer. I thought it was corn for the longest time. It looked just like it, but is at least 10 feet tall and has no corn cobs on it. The sign says it is an ornamental grass. I think it is rather cool stuff. They have a type of beet growing right next to it and then rainbow swiss chard next to that. Very interesting things grow there. The perennials are gorgeous and I have been sharing shots of those lately too.
