Day 325 Aww, Wishing For A Better View

Saturday, November 21 – I took this from Nick and Kristie’s porch in Fort Benton. They look right at the court house which is in the background. I wish I could have gotten up on top of the rims above town to capture this spectacular sunrise. We are so lucky to have such gorgeous colors in Montana. I am back home now with Tristan in tow. We are heading up to the cabin in the Highwoods today. The wind is continuing to blow like crazy.

Day 324 Precious Lily

Friday, November 20th – Here is precious Lily being her adorable self. She walks everywhere now and when she isn’t walking she is ‘walking’ on her knees. What a little character. She steals Tristan’s toys and that really makes his day.

Day 323 An Old House

Thursday, November 19 – This shot was on the way to Fort Benton, right outside of Highwood.  Tristan went to school this morning and will again tomorrow. I came home today to do washing and check on things.

Day 322 Backlit Ferns

Wednesday, November 18 - Shot these in Kristie’s front window which faces the sunrise. I have been watching Tristan and Lily while Kristie works. Tristan and I came to Great Falls yesterday(Wednesday) and had lunch with Aimee and Grandma Bonnie.

Day 321 Welcome, Mr. Sun

Tuesday, November 17 – Here is the sunrise from this morning. The wind was blowing so hard that I could hardly hold on to my camera. I found a sheltered spot at the northeast corner of my house to try to block some of that wind. I was afraid to use a tripod even with this much wind. It is keeping the temperature warm, so I guess it isn’t all bad. I am heading up to Fort Benton shortly to take care of Lily and Tristan for a couple of days. Camera is all ready to go along too.  Mom and Dad are all settled in and they are getting their satellite dish hooked up today.

Day 320 Another Beautiful Sunset

Monday, November 16 – Another beautiful Montana fall sunset. I just can not get enough of those gorgeous skies. This one was shot right out in my front yard. I went to see the movie 2012 this afternoon/evening. It was pretty predictable, but a nice break from my crazy life lately. I still would like to see This Is It before it ends after Thanksgiving. I wonder if they will release it on DVD. This is the opening week for New Moon too. There were lots of people at the theatre buying tickets for the opening night.

Day 319 Here fishy, fishy!

Sunday, November 15 – I snapped this one while we were waiting for our food at the RainForest Cafe. Their salt water tanks are gorgeous. A bit of distortion here, but it was through glass and fish was moving.  We are heading out shortly to move Mom and Dad. It is just at freezing right now and my toes are so cold from doing chores. Nick got stuck in Seattle last night, but is flying out this morning for HongKong. I guess there was a problem with the plane. At least the airlines put him up overnight.

Day 318 Another Favorite

Saturday, November 14 – Aimee and I always have to eat at The RainForest Cafe at least once at the mall. It is one of my favorites. The Chop Salad is wonderful there; cranberries, blue cheese and candied nuts. The atmosphere is fantastic complete with animated jungle animals and thunder/lightning/rain. I especially love the tropical fish tanks everywhere. We shipped our steers to Billings yesterday and the heifers were bought locally and we delivered them this afternoon. I have a corral full of bawling calves right now, but that should stop in just a couple of days. The wind is cold today and it is only 41. Tomorrow is moving day for Mom and Dad. We are all going up bright and early to move the furniture. I think they are truly excited about it. They spent their first night there last night in their new bed. Son, Nick, took off this morning for his trip to Hong Kong. He showed up here last night at around midnight after working at the restaurant. He has two bags to check on; one is his clothes and the other is his chef’s knives. I forgot that chef’s are particular about their knives. I guess those would be important to him, as he will be cooking at some Asian restaurants. What an opportunity that boy is getting. I lent him one of my cameras, so I expect some photos.

Day 317 – If Only!!

Friday, November 13 – If only IKEA was closer, I would be in so much trouble. I love this store and could spend a bundle there. I can spend hours and hours there.  We just have to drive to one someday and bring our truck. There are so many things that I would go home with. Aimee and I ate breakfast there one morning, as it was right across the street from our motel. Their cinnamon rolls are $1. You can get two hot dogs, chips and a drink for $2. They have a really good cafeteria featuring Scandinavian food. We ended up having Swedish pancakes with Lingonberies (sp?) Yummy!! This is not the most creative photo, but it will have to do. The Mall of America is right across the street, so you never run out of things to shop for.

Day 316 Yum!!

Thursday, November 12 – Here are a couple of things we had to eat at Crave in the Mall of America. This was a place that served everything from sandwiches to sushi and looked to be very popular by the number of people eating there.  I will be off early tomorrow morning to ship cattle. It will be a full day and the weather does not sound promising. I hope the snow holds off until we get those calves loaded. I don’t know if I will be getting any photos tomorrow, but I will take my little G11 along.
