Day 345 Happy Birthday, Debbie

Saturday, December 11 – Today is Debbie’s birthday. Wishing her all the best for this coming year. Have a great day, my friend.  Wonder if this crazy Bingo lady made the game in time? And more importantly, did you win anything? Happy Birthday!!! Off to teach the Girls Scouts in Great Falls how to take photos on a cold snowy day.

Day 344

Friday, December 10 - Some  more prom shots. What a beautiful couple!! The 2nd photo down is Chase’s favorite of them.

Day 343 Wow, You Look Good

Thursday, December 9 – Another prom shot. Chase obviously thought Ariana looked very nice. Walter thinks this photos is weird and that I messed up by having Chase not sharp. I can’t make him understand that I did that on purpose; the focus wasto be on the pretty girl, but the guy is important too and needs to be included too.

Day 342 Our First Prom

Wednesday, December 8 – It is nice and warm out today; a balmy 45 with a strong wind. My new chickens arrived yesterday and are sure enjoying their new abode and the weather too. I have one rooster who sure knows how to crow already. Here is a picture from  Saturday night that I have vignetted. I can’t believe that my grandson is old enough to be going to the prom.

Day 341 Foggy Trees

Tuesday, December 7 – Here are some more shots of our trees in front of the house on that foggy morning. Supposed to start warming up today and then the winds. It is forecast to blow 50mph on Wednesday. My chickens are supposed to come this morning. I have missed having fresh eggs and crowing roosters. The coop is all ready for them thanks to Billi coming and helping me clean. Won’t it be nice to have organic eggs?

Day 340 One Foggy Morning

Monday, December 5 – My favorite way to shoot what I see each morning in my front yard. Yesterday we had that thick fog. This was as it was still rolling in at around noon. It gave some fun light to work with. Looks like it might warm up today. It is around 15 here, but I see it is still below zero in Great Falls. It was 19 above when I left to do the Prom pics yesterday and we hit below zero just outsidee Great Falls. Brrr.

Day 339 Something To Tweet About and Just Hanging Out

Sunday, December 5 – We had one heck of a heavy freezing fog this morning. What a gorgeous playground it made for photos. I shot these two right out my front door. More to come tomorrow. Off to shoot prom photos in town in just a bit. Have to go pack up my gear. The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day for the GFHS prom.

Day 338 Whee, Isn’t This Fun?!

Saturday, December 4 -  Shot this this morning. We got a good bunch of fresh snow last night. This little family must have spent the night under those bushes and out they came to explore early this morning. I guess they were more impressed with the overnight abundance than I was. They sure did seem to have fun though. Strange to have it rain in December, but that is exactly what it truly did. I guess the highway is awful. It is going to be much slicker when it gets cold tonight. What a winter wonderland it will be for the Christmas Stroll. I am helping taking photos tonight for a fund raiser at the stroll. Tomorrow is GFHS prom and I have two couples scheduled for a shoot in the afternoon. My camera is going to keep really busy.

Day 337 A Lonely Tree

Friday, December 3 – Winter storm on it’s way or so the weatherbug says.  I sure hope it doesn’t get so bad that we can’t get to Brooke’s Christmas concert.  Here is a remembrance shot of my trip to Glacier with Bryan Peterson. Loved this little meadow where the wild flowers were in full bloom. We did lots of macro work here and some practicing with his new flash techniques.  There was even a forest ranger that stopped by to warn us that the bears had been frequenting the area so to be careful. We drove by this same spot later and sure enough, there was a bear.

Day 336 Glorious Start To December

Thursday, December 2 – I shot this one yesterday morning as I headed down to do chores. It finally has warmed up and the snow is melting. Not a good thing if it gets cold again, as we will be dealing with lots of ice. The snow has blow into drifts and has left lots of bare ground for the cows to graze, as you can see in this photo. It is lots tougher getting around down at the barn.
