Day 230 Don’t Even Think About It!

Thursday, August 18 – Aunt Tiff treated the kids to ice cream dots at the fair and did they ever love them. Tristan sure gets his point about not even thinking about stealing his ice cream across, doesn’t he?  He is also very proud of that tooth he has recently lost and the loose one next to it too. Off to go swimming today in Aunt Billi’s pool. Fall is sure in the air, as it is right at 50 right now.

Day 229 A Photographer Working

Wednesday, August 17 – Here is a shot of Kay, one of the camera club members working to get that perfect shot. I am sure she got some pretty good ones too. There was a fishing boat out about that time and some nice mountain reflections.

Day 228 Pretty Little Flowers

Tuesday, August 16 – Another shot from the front range. The wild flowers were quite abundant that day. I guess I need to buy a book for identification when I am out in the field. I was certainly a fun time that day.

Day 227 Flowers For Debbie

Monday, August 15 -  Here are some shots I did when the camera club went to the front range last month. I believe these flowers are favorites of Debbie’s. Thought you might enjoy them today, my friend.

Day 226 A Cool Drink Of Water

Sunday, August 14 – Doesn’t this look refreshing on a hot day? That wheat is sure appreciating the cool drink of water it is receiving. I am glad that we are dry land farmers and don’t have to contend with all the work that irrigation requires. It sure does produce wonderful crops though.  The bottom picture is when the sprinklers were off and not in the golden evening light.

Day 225 A Real Fairy Princess

Saturday, August 14 – Lily tells me that she a fairy princess named Miraposa. Sounds convincing to me. I thought I better put a few shots up that show her more in her “royal” form than yesterday’s. Lily, you are so funny!

Day 224 Even Princesses Pick Their Noses

Friday, August 13 – Lily has been obsessed with her new Princess dress, wings and crown. I truly believe she thinks that she is a real fairy princess and certainly acts the part – – – – until it comes to nose picking. Every so often, I will catch her digging away and just couldn’t help capturing a couple for black mail when she is much older. I asked her why she does that and she says she is after “boogers”. Aren’t older brothers wonderful for teaching such things to their little sister?

Day 223 Beautiful Harvest Weather

Thursday, August 12 – What beautiful fall weather we are having to begin harvest. Here is a shot from a couple of days ago as I was heading home from a day at the fair. What beautiful golden light was shining on the waiting wheat crop and the Highwoods. Today is the last day of the state fair. I was so disappointed this year. The new system is not working and it shows, as there were so few people there. Exhibits were way down too. Rather sad.

Day 222 The Three Musketeers

Wednesday, August 11 – What a busy week it has been. Lily and Tristan are here for their 2 week stay and Tiffany came for the fair also. The 4 grandkiddos have had so much fun; fair, fishing, shooting, pizza, swimming and visiting their great grandparents in Belt. Those 3 – 2 year olds are something else. Here is a shot of the three of them being rather quiet for a few minutes. We are having a sleepover with Marilynn tonight and hopefully, Becca and Emma too. Fun times on the farm/ranch. Tristan is loving the chickens, especially.
