Day 273 Happy Birthday, Walter

Friday, September 30 – Yesterday was Walter’s birthday (actually Sept. 19), so this one is in his honor. I thought this looked like a ‘manly’ photo, so this one is for you, Walter. Happy Birthday!! Oh, yes, and just guess what he got for his a birthday- a new G12. Curtis, I think that means that I get to play with the G12 just like you did with your wifey’s new camera.

Day 272 Peeling Paint

Thursday, September 29 -  Found this interesting paint job in the junk pile.

Day 271 Ride ‘Em Cowboy

Wednesday, September 28 – I really need to get another bouncy horse for these two. Sometimes it is really hard to take turns and share.  As you can see, Gage got the worst of a bedtime battle with his brother. Somehow a book ended up jumping right up and hitting him between the eyes.

Day 270 Made Just Right For Two

Tuesday, September 27 – The boys made their first trip to the steam museum this week and what a time they had. Grandpa Bob spoiled them though when they made their trip up to his ranch. He started his tractors. They could not understand why their mom or I couldn’t start those big tractors at the museum. They did find something great to play on though.

Day 269 Which Is Better?

Monday, September 26 – Forgot to say that my photography instructor loved my negative space shot from a couple of days ago. Here are a couple of shots from late last evening (right before dark) of the antique locomotive bell behind my house. For some reason, Walter thought it needed to go on top of a pole; so the old satellite dish came down and up went the bell. So which is most pleasing to the eye; having the subject on the right or the left side of the frame? I sure am enjoying the nice red color we are getting in the sunsets and sunrises still.

Day 268 What The Heck Are Those Flying Things?

Sunday, September 25 – One last look at those funny looking flying things called chickens. The bucks were only a couple of feet away from my new chicken coop and had the poor hens scared to death. I sure hope these guys come back soon for a visit, so I can do some more early morning shooting.

Day 267 Oh, Well, Better Be Movin On

Saturday, September 24 – The two little stinkers finally got full and moved on but not before ——— Check tomorrow.

Day 266 Thieving Little Buggers

Friday, September 23 – Here are some shots of those sneaks that were out eating alfalfa by my chicken coops this morning.  I have to wonder if maybe they might be a set of yearling twins.

Day 265 Good Morning, Montana

Thursday, September 22 – What a beautiful sunrise, don’t you think? I love what all this smoke in the air is doing for our sunrises and sunsets. Not too pleasant for breathing though. This is another set of G11 shots. I grabbed my 7D with the 70-300mm and shot some of a couple of little 2 point Mule deer by my chicken coop this morning that I need to take a look at. That might be what you see here tomorrow if they look okay.

Day 264 Negative Space

Wednesday, September 21 – I started a new photography class on composition this week. This is my negative space shot for our first assignment. I hope my instructor thinks it is okay. This was shot up by Fairfield with the Front Range of the Rockies behind this fishing pond. I am taking a video class next month which is something brand new for me. Both my 5D and 7D take gorgeous video and it will be fun learning how to use that feature.
