Day 35 A Cool Drink of Water

Saturday, February 4 – There are lots of doves that visit the pond every day for a nice cool drink of water. Here are a couple of the frequent visitors. This is a G12 shot.

Day 34 Cast on 8, Then Knit, Knit, and Knit Some More

Friday, February 3 – Here are two of the scarves that I knit last week. The one that is pink and purple is now residing in Marilynn’s closet. I have three more done that I will have to take pictures of. This yarn is so much fun to work with and sold out most places. I did find some at the fantastic yarn shop in Jerome, the shop here in Sedona and also on Etsy. Fun to do and even more fun to wear. I need to find a better way to take pictures of the final products though. I think Emma is still ahead of me on the number knitted though. She is a regular knitting machine. We ate at a little bakery in uptown, Sedona Memories., for lunch today. The Jamaican Jerk Chicken sandwich sounded good and it was; trouble is it was hotter than heck and my stomach is still burning. We had the leftover pork with sauerkraut that I made yesterday for dinner tonight. I also made an awesome banana bread yesterday – sour cream and butter made it extra tasty and moist. Shared a loaf with David, next door, which was very welcomed. I think every bird for miles around has heard about my new feeders, as there is a regular feeding frenzy every morning. No Cardinals today though. Jade sure enjoys watching the activity. We ran to the bird store to pick up some more seed. They do a birding walk every Wednesday and invited me to come along sometime. Really  cute little place.

Day 33 Have Anything Like This, Marilynn?

Thursday, February 2 – Just wondering if Marilynn had anything like this for her birthday dinner last night. Best Taco Salad I have had in a long time. Walter says the steak was delicious.

Day 32 A Little Bird Told Me

Wednesday, February 1 – This little bird told me that today is a very special day;  my granddaughter Marilynn’s 10th birthday.  I hope you have a fantastic day and enjoy your special dinner this evening. I took these of the male  cardinal in our back yard. We had quite the feeding frenzy this morning on our brand new feeder with the new special bird seed. I hope to get even better shots tomorrow now that I have the tripod set up ready to shoot. The female cardinal is not as brightly colored and pretty shy. Be sure to click on the photos to enlarge.
