Day 294 My Head Hurts

Sunday, October 21 – This elephant looks like he partied too much the night before. The elephants are really the most dangerous animals we saw, especially a mother with a baby.

Day 293 Mr. Warthog

Saturday, October 20 – This was a very aggressive little guy and he was bound and determined to take us on. He was the only one that didn’t run with their tail straight up in the air. Funniest sight ever. Kimmie thought they were very pretty; me, not so much. They reminded me of the javelinas in Arizona, but didn’t smell so bad and I guess are also good eating.

Day 292 Mr. Giraffe Says Happy Birthday, Brad

Friday, October 19 – More Giraffe shots. I have only gone through the first couple of days of photos, so there are lots more giraffe shots, but I needed to get started on catching up on my blog. So these will have to do. Happy Birthday to my son-in-law, Brad.

Day 289 How Many Men Does It Take To Fill A Bean Bag?

Tuesday, October 16 – Obviously it took more than one. Most of us brought our bean bags empty on the plane, so it was necessary to stop at a local market to buy rice. Lots of male hands were needed to fill them, as you can see. We all left the rice at an orphanage when we were ready to head home where it was much needed and appreciated. G11 shots. I have so many photos to go through. I still can’t sleep at night, so have been doing the wash and cleaning at night.

Day 288 What A Meal

Monday, October 15 – Here are some shots of our River House Meal. Had to shoot into the sun, which created some issues, but you get the idea. It started with carrot/ginger soup, then an assorted appetizer plate, a barbecue buffet and finally assorted dessert plate. Yum!

Day 287 Outdoor Dining

Sunday, October 14 – Our first day in Arusha was spent taking a brief tour of the city. One of our stops was for lunch at River House,  an outdoor restaurant that was outstanding. They first sit you at couches outside and bring a choice of champagne or juice. Next is an escort to the open air restaurant for a 4 course meal. It was delicious.

Day 286 Mount Meru

Saturday, October 13 –  Here is a shot of Mount Meru which is right outside of Arusha. We visited Arusha National Park today and took photos of everything from baboons to giraffes and zebras.
