Day 145 Churros For Dessert
Family night at Highgate was Mexican themed and so much fun. We had Taco Salad, which was really good and then Churros for dessert. It is so good to have Dad out of the hospital and with Mom again.

Mom’s roommate, Rosalie, received a beautiful bouquet from her daughter for Mother’s day. What could be better than an orange rose? Another iphone shot.
There are two of these beautiful, sweet smelling cherry trees in the Highgate Cottage atrium.
I spent time with Mom yesterday admiring the newly planted and opening flowers in the atrium of Highgate. Glad I had my iphone along to capture a shot. Notice the bird silhouette to the left. I didn’t notice that until I uploaded here. There are two birdhouses there that have baby birds in them. I think this might be Dad guarding the nest.
Cement and lumber was sold at so many places that we traveled. It certainly is a popular commodity. The Simba brand is seen often.
These women, on a street in a village near Arusha, were quite interested in what was going on down the way. Bright clothing is sure popular. I so am longing to return one day soon to enjoy these lovely people in this beautiful place.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. I am so fortunate to still have my mom alive and very well for her 85 years young. Dad came home from the hospital yesterday which made her day even more special.
Yikes, I just realized that I didn’t put a picture up honoring your birthday, Emma. Here is a shot from Christmas (Santa is peeking over your shoulder) that I thought was cute. I believe Brooke might have been the photographer. Looks like you were a good girl for the year and got a pretty tasty gift. Happy Birthday, Emma!! I need to get some shots of your knitting projects. You are quite the accomplished knitter!!
