Day 204 Such A Peaceful Place

Muir Woods is such a peaceful place, especially in the early morning before the crowds arrive. Everything was so lush and green. Baskets went super today. Really beautiful produce and lots of it. Best organic basket I have had in quite some time. Cases of mangos, plums, strawberries and blueberries; doesn’t get much better than that. I started to get vegies every week from Carl and Heather too. Wow, what a beautiful assortment I got this week. It is pure heaven having fresh vegies that are all natural with no pesticides. I feel very blessed that I have a chance to eat so healthy.

Day 203 Spirals in a Different Light

The fort at Fort Point has spiral stairs at each end. I tried to go up as far as I could to get a shot; which wasn’t far. Funny how at one end the light is cool and the other end is very warm. Still a very neat place, even if it is a bit scary for me. Have everything ready for baskets tomorrow; car loaded and sheets printed out. I have such a great volunteer crew, that I am sure it will go very smooth, like usual. Marilynn is officially all ready for state fair. She finished up her projects today to be entered next week. All three photog granddaughters got their entries in yesterday.

Day 202 The Mysterious Number 5

I have no idea why this number 5 was on the wall at Fort Point. Maybe something to do with what number canon was in that area. A great area for captures of texture. I have been busy this week getting the files ready for the digital judging at the fair. Today was the deadline for entry, so I hope the office will have the last of the cd’s for me tomorrow. Marilynn and I are finishing her archery bag tomorrow for her 4-H project. Then it is off to mount photos for her display and she is good to go. All three granddaughters entered in the open Photography this year. It will be fun to see how they do. Becca won the overall two years ago and Emma won last year.

Day 201 Can You Find A 4 Leaf Clover?

A shot from Muir Woods. Can you find a 4 leaf clover here? Make sure to click on the photo to take a closer look. Fun place to visit and shoot. I would love to go back here in the early morning again to just enjoy the beauty.

Day 200 A Few Cannonballs

Fort Post was a very interesting place. My knees said no to climbing up all those stairs to the top, but I did have fun shooting at the lower level. Lots of neat texture there. These cannonballs caught my eye.

Day 199 A Humming Good Time

Our visit to the Mission not only yielded some pretty terrific flowers to shoot and some amazing architecture, but there was a family of Anna’sHummingbirds living there. I have a huge number of shots of the little guys and here are two, I especially like. Make sure to click on the photo to take a closer look at the cute little guy.

Day 198 There’s Nothing Like Reading On The Beach

This gal was enjoying a nice read on the beach. She wasn’t minding the fog rolling in at all. What a wonderful way to start the day. It was also a favorite spot for walking dogs. Fair entries start rolling in today. I have files to make on the computer for those digital entries. The next three weeks are going to be busy ones.

Day 197 Golden Gate in the Distance

Another side of the bridge not shown yet. The fog was really rolling in and I had to be fast before the top of the bridge disappeared. Like I said before, we shot the GoldenGate from all 4 sides. Went to a fun birthday party yesterday for  a very special 5 year old. Had a fun lunch too with friends from Camera Club. Yummy Garlic Chicken for the 2nd time this week. Just can not get enough of that dish.

Day 196 Golden Gate At Night; A Different View

Here are some night shots of the Golden Gate at night from the other side of the Bay. That last shot shows a barge moving along. Looks almost like star trails because of the 30 sec. exposure. As you can see, the night sky was very busy too. The airport is right across the bay on the left side. We started shooting at civil twilight and kept shooting until it got too dark.

Day 195 Golden Gate At Night

Here is one shot of the Golden Gate at night. We had already been on one side to shoot the familiar shot you usually see. This side let us capture the moving traffic for a long exposure. I actually did get to view the Golden Gate from all 4 sides an will be sharing them all. I was certainly not alone in enjoying this lovely site. The crowds and traffic were wild.
