My Really Right Stuff tripod ball head has been drug from Africa to Italy to Death Valley and the Grand Canyon and all over Montana and is beginning to show some wear and tear. It is gearing up to do some serious shooting over the holidays coming up. I am off to the first Christmas concert by the grandchildren tonight – GFHS, which is always fantastic. The big Christmas party at Highgate is this afternoon too.
We visited a very unique artist community while shooting near Lone Pine and the Alabama Hills – Darwin. There was one display that was made with broken bottles. Here are some of the bottle collection. A really fun place to shoot and the location of that outhouse I featured a few days ago.
One of my twin grandsons broke his arm this afternoon. No more jumping on the bed!! buckle fracture with a fancy new fiberglass cast.
We have a balmy temp of zero degrees right now!! Supposed to snow today and have some “not missed much” wind. This picture is saying goodbye to what I hope doesn’t return for awhile – minus zero temps!! Congrats to my granddaughter, Brooke, on winning Sophomore Prom Princess at the Sr. Prom last night.
A photo that shows something besides cold and snow. Took this one in the cooler at Hermans. Yes, the cooler and it was balmy compared to what we have outside. Â I am trying to forget that it is so bitter cold outside. Guess that forgetting won’t be for long, as the chickens need to be fed and watered. I need to run baskets in Belt today, so will be bundled up all day.
That is one cold rabbit outside my living room window. It has been hovering around 15 below zero all day. The weather man says we are headed for around minus 30 tonight. Brrr. Â Had the twins here all day while their mom got a haircut. We had a crafty day getting ready for Christmas.

It is minus 10 degrees at my house this morning. Time for a closeup photo share to get my mind off the bitter cold. Worse yet, it is supposed to get 20 below tomorrow night and Friday. Sedona, take me away.
What miserable weather we are having. Extreme cold (right at zero) and snowing. Not fun to be out in at all. My chickens are shivering even. I am off to start a sewing project in a bit. Made turkey soup and applesauce yesterday while it stormed. This old trunk caught my eye to share today.
