I took this one on our way to the market in Quito. I am assuming that there is a baby in that stroller cart that the gentleman is pushing. Not sure what the significance of the sign is on the bikes either.
What a strange bird! He had a very unusual way of eating bananas. He would grab a piece and then throw it in the air and catch it to eat it.
It is pretty hard to get a complete and clear photo thundering down a road in a bus. Looks to me like this shop might be a beauty parlor with a very familiar name. Wonder what the significance of the name is?
I never did find out what the real name of these pretty flowers. We referred to them as angel flowers for obvious reasons.
The little Olive Finch was on his way pretty quickly, but I did get in one last shot that shows his coloring pretty well. Happy hunting, little guy!
This little Olive Finch was out early in the morning catching the butterflies that had landed in the night. Busy little guy wouldn’t hold still for very long, so my photos were not real clear. That white blur is a breakfast meal in it’s bill.
Where ever we went, it seemed that there were Collared Inca’s. They were quite elusive though and rather hard to photograph, as they didn’t stay in one place for long. One of the birds that I could not get away from the feeders to get an image.
This little guy was a real cutie and very friendly. You didn’t notice that beautiful fluorescent pink until he/she turned just right.
