Day 266 Highgate Party
Highgate recently had a full week of activities for the seniors living there. It culminated with a fabulous dinner featuring German Potstoe Salad, Baked Beans and Ribeye Stead with Apple Turnovers for dessert. Yum!

There is nothing like good hot wings. These were advertised as mild. I wonder what hot was? Little sports bar across from our hotel with waitresses that looked like they came from Hooters but with far less clothes.
I wish we had a Trader Joes in Montana. We did get a bit of shopping at one before returning home from NM.
The balloons at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta before the launch were a sea of color. A truly breathtaking experience.
My granddaughter, Becca, took these images of Walter spreading Dad’s ashes at the ranch. Dad has finally returned home to the land he loved; a place he can be at peace finally. Thanks so much, Becca, for capturing this beautiful moment. It is still hard to believe he is gone. I felt his presence while watching the balloons ascend at the Albuquerque Fiesta. It was an event he had so wanted to see. I guess he witnessed it through my eyes. I sure know he was there with me.
I went to the Albuquerque, NM’s Balloon Fiesta this morning for the mass ascension of over 500 balloons. Here are a group of character balloons that were on display which will be flown later in the week. More to come tomorrow. Click on the photos to see full size.
