I was on my way to Phoenix for a workshop and stopped for breakfast in Black Canyon at the Pie Shop. And yes, they really do have something else, but pie there; as in cinnamon rolls, caramel and frosted. Walter looked back at the vehicle and noticed this “rainbow” around the sun. Pretty hard to capture, but here it is with my iPhone.
Tiff took this last month when she was in town visiting with the boys. Grandma loves her boys and is so happy when they visit. I think you can see that written all over her face. Thanks, Tiffany, for the photo.
While I am on the subject of cacti. Here is one that was blooming, untouched by the feet of cattle. These are Beavertail Prickly Pear.
These cacti are definitely pink. I was thinking that they are Beavertail Cacti, as they are shaped like them. Beavertail are growing on the hill behind our house here. Â These are pretty banged up by the cattle that share the range with them.
Today is Valentine’s Day! In honor of the day, here is a photo of my Valentine enjoying the view from Bell Rock. It doesn’t get much better than this for viewing. Not a breath of air and balmy!
He really is a beauty, isn’t he. They are so well fed and well taken care of. We took a safari tour where they drive you through one of the enclosures that has lots of animals. Easy to take photos.
