Doesn’t this little Hummer look like he is conducting an orchestra?

When photographing hummingbirds, you want to get them away from the feeder and on to a perch. This guy cooperated.

Day 86 Resplendent Quetzal

The last remote location we visited was the home to the Resplendent Quetzal. That bird hangout is quite the challenge to find. And then you wait and wait and hope to get a glimpse of this glorious bird. I was very lucky to get to capture images three times, in fact. First up is the female. Photographing these birds is a challenge, as they never come out of  the shadows deep in the forest, to pose.

Always An Adventure

This trip has yielded more than terrific hummingbirds to capture. My newest adventure was to experience a moderate earthquake. The windows rattled and the floor moved and there was quite the jolt.
