This certainly looks like there is something pretty interesting out there to shoot. I can’t wait to see how this one turns out.
Here is a shot from the club outing to Lost Lake. That is definitely a photographer at work.
Here is a grouping that I could barely see. Wouldn’t it have been wonderful if the weather had cooperated and the birds had stayed awhile when it did get light out. They proceeded to all fly away at dawn.
There was a Meadowlark hanging around the shack while we sat waiting to be able to see the birds. Once again, a poor capture due to the lighting and conditions.
This is from Benton Lake National Wildlife Refuge. I had my name drawn for use of the Grouse house one Saturday morning. The day ended up being miserable; cold, wet, muddy. There were just a few birds before it got light out. So these are not the best images, due to very poor lighting in the wee hours of the morning. Shot with my big 500mm before you could even see there were actual birds out there.
