What was I thinking to be taking photos out in the wind? I think this turned out pretty nice, considering the conditions I was working with. Rather painterly, I would say. Off to visit Rock City today. There is certainly less smoke out today and it is chilly. Feels like fall!
This was the view this morning and it only got worse. This smoke is really something. Praying that the firefighters stay safe and that the coming fire danger weather tomorrow keeps fire away from here.
This is actually a very tiny wildflower growing on the hill by my house. The wind was blowing like crazy, so it was quite the challenge to get a shot.
The honey bees have been very active this summer collecting pollen to make honey. All my plants are done blooming, so the bees have moved on to the wildflowers. We love having them here on the property, as we get lots of honey in the fall.
Here is a shot of the old log barn door hinges. This building was built in the early 1900s.

Internet is horrible the last few days. My provider let me know it was such and gave me an extra 1gb to make up for it. I just want my internet to work and that compensation doesn’t help much. Here is another shot from Freemont Street, looking the other way. We found a great place to watch the light show, at Starbucks, where there was seating, while we enjoyed a cold drink.
