Day 258 Just Throw the Ball

One of my watermelons seems to be a hybrid. It has both black and some white seeds. I saved the seeds to see what I might get next season. Lots of seeds to play with too. My first time raising them was successful. Walt says each one was sweeter then the store bought. They will definitely be planted again next year.
I had never seen these before. The little critters have invaded my corn patch. They remind me of Potato Bugs.
Mud must be good for the hair too.
Someone decided to try a mud facial! More to come tomorrow.
Down goes Mr, Sun.
Ginger thinks this is her playhouse too.
Some of my Chocolate Pear Tomatoes.
Picked the last watermelons last night before the frost came. Hope they are as good tasting as the previous. I dread going to the big garden this morning to see what froze. We covered what we had sheets and plastic for. I always find it sad at the first frost. All that work ending. Our garden did fabulous this year, so the work was worth it. Watermelons and tomatoes were extra fun here at the house. So many tomatoes! I had 36 plants in containers.
What a great sunrise greeted me on my way to the garden to pick corn.
