What happened to my color?

What happened to the green color in the one photo here? It appears as blue as can be and the other one is just fine; green.  The first one was taken at ISO640, F/11, 1/8s and the 2nd was taken at ISO200, F/11,  .6th second. Both were taken in the light box and with the white balance set on Auto. I know now I should have used fluorescent setting, as the bulbs are fluorescent. Is that right? .

Day 7 Photo

I got my tabletop studio out today to do some shooting. I was so discouraged after yesterday’s sunrises that I thought I would shift to a new subject. This looks like something that should go on Ebay. My sis, Aimee, gave Walter a great bottle of wine for Christmas and it is dressed in these “clothes” that make it look extra elegant.  I also took a shot of some Fruit Loops to see how the lights worked for that. I used my 50mm macro for both. ISO200, F/11, 1/4s..

More Sunrise Photos

Just had to share some more of this morning’s photos. These are posted in the order that they were taken. The first was the one I have posted for my Day 6 photo. I can not believe how wonderful our sunrises have been lately. Considering it is now snowing in the mountains, this was something I would rather remember. First photo ISO 400,F/11, 1/200. Second photo ISO 800, F/11, 1/500s. Third and fourth photos ISO 800, F/11, 1/500s, Fifth photo ISO 400, F/8, 1/640th.....

Day 6 Photo

What a start to a gray day!! I had just started out for the barn when I realized I was missing a fantastic sunrise.  ISO800,F/11,1/80s.

Sweet

These are two photos for my 26 Things for January/February. Tina suprised me with a fabulous Christmas gift of homemade fudge, dipped pretzels and Buckeyes. Couldn’t resist taking them; Iso 100, F/22 and 1/15th..

Day 5 Photo

Shep is not liking this blowing, drifting snow any better than I am. ISO250, F/5.6 and 1/3200th in shutter priority.

Day 4 Photo

It’s 20 above zero out right now and the wind is howling. Lots of drifts to get to the barn today, but is warmer.  Thought I would shoot Jade for today’s photo and play with it abit.  She was sitting in front of the south facing sliding glass door, so there was lots of natural light.  I was shooting manual, ISO 100, 1/160th and F/8.  Postprocessing I took the saturation down until I just barely had a hint of blue still in her eyes. She has such vivid blue eyes, as you can see, which I toned down in one of the photos which softened it abit. I am not sure which look I like best. ...

What a difference a day or two makes with the lighting in Montana. All I got was dirty grey the sundog day.

Holy Cow, is it cold!

I decided it was time to shoot that tree in my front yard again. I sure found out fast why I need to get some good photography gloves. My fingers were numb by the time I got inside again with my tripod in tow. .......

Day 3 Photo

Another day of below zero temps and what better way to spend it than with friends for lunch.  Jenn invited me to lunch at Taco John’s. We ran in to Melissa and took her along too.  Then we went for a visit to see our buddy, Coleen.  Lunch was yummy, as you can see.

My Cold picture

Besides doing a picture a day this year, I am also trying to do the 26 Things challenge. I have a list of 26 words that require me to take a photo for each word and they must be completed during January and February. I think this picture conveys Cold. In fact, I am going to post two of the same thing. It shows how the light changed as the sun came peeking out from our blizzarding sky. ISO100,F/11, 1/250s and 1/400s..
