Window on Cherry Pie Lane

Monday, May 11 – Here is wishing Happy Mother’s Day to all! We have the toughest job in the world and the most rewarding too!! Thought this little face would give you a smile today. The sun is coming up and it looks to be gorgeous out.  I am off to spend the entire day with family. Camera will be in tow, so hopefully will get some shots today.

Yesterday was a great Mother’s Day. Had a nice luncheon and then out to a fine dinner too with the family. I saw all but Nick and he called first off in the morning. It is a showery looking day out today. We already had a light sprinkle and they are calling for thunder later. Had a harrowing morning with these last cows that are calving. The vet came out and we had to pull a set of dead twins out of a cow. It was a real task and I will spare all the details. Cow seems fine though. I had another set of twins Saturday and one drowned in the creek. Another cow calved in the creek this morning, but we got that one out in time to save it. This always seems to be how it is with the late calvers. I am off to take a few more flower shots and then to work on my Lightroom class.
