Day 1 Welcome to the Year 2016
This is my 8th year of doing the Photo a Day!! Can’t believe I have actually stuck with it this long. I actually finished my 7th year in October, but will count it from January on. Lots of changes in all of those years; new grandkids and a daughter-in-law, the passing of Dad, facing some health issues that are under control, trips all over the world to photograph and moving to Sedona for the winter. This last year has kept me very busy being President of the Great Falls Camera Club and a member of the Sedona Camera Club and Photographic Society of America. I was certified to be an international photography judge this last year and have kept busy judging photos. Â The Great Falls Camera Club is very active and growing by leaps and bounds. We have over 50 members now. I believe there were just a dozen just a couple of years ago. Here’s to a new year with lots of photos to share. I will be returning to Ecuador in May and likely Moab in March. Africa might even be on the agenda this fall. Craig Varjabedian has invited me to come to Iceland and I really do want to go there too. So that might get included. Lots of fun place to visit and make memories. I intended to take a glorious sunrise this morning to honor a new year, but it just did not materialize. So here is one I shot a few days ago that will have to suffice.

Happy New Year! I’m so thankful you are continuing to do your blog and a photo a day. It helps me feel connected even though I live 7 hours away. I think I might try to do a photo a day challenge as well even if it is using my phone to do so. Just not sure how to document it? I haven’t posted in my blog since mom passed because she was the only one who ever looked at it. Text me privately your ideas of how to keep track of my photo a day!
