I really dig the black and red backgrounds!
I want to hear more about it thought. Tell me about the photo, how it came to happen, where that crazy spider came from, and how you did it. 😀
    Keep up the fabuloscity.

Well, Cait, that is Wolfie who is now deceased. He lived in the window in my
basement eating flies and hornets. Walter accidentally knocked him/her out
of the window and he was on his ‘last legs’ when I took those photos. Alive, but not very chipper. He was dead a week later. I carried him upstairs on a paper and then put him on a clear plastic lid on my counter top. With my Canon 40D on a tripod, I placed different colored papers behind as a backdrop. The lighting from my south facing window was perfect for side lighting. I was at ISO200, F/8 and the shutter varied from 1/8th to 1/20th. I was using my 50mm macro lens and shooting in manual.
