Day 239 I Love My Cousin
Thursday, August 27 – Isn’t it wonderful when cousins truly share so much love for each other? Brooke and Becca had so much fun together Tuesday while visiting Grandma. I sure hope their first day of school went well yesterday (Wed.). It seems strange to be done with harvest. The custom cutters left this morning and Carl just has a little durum left he can handle. We will start the 2nd cutting alfalfa hay tomorrow. It looks like it will be better than our first cutting which is a God send for this winter’s cattle feed. I have cows out again that need to be put in tomorrow. The ferrier came out this morning and replaced shoes on the horse, so I can get riding again. She has been lame lately. Hopefully it isn’t arthritis, as she is 27 years old. Looks like we might be back to summer again, as it is 96 out right now.

What fun shots. You can tell the girls really love each other. I love the contrast in the blonde hair vs. dark hair of Brooke and Becca. In the top photo, both girls look like their mothers. Don’t you think?
