Day 260 Hitching A Ride
Thursday, September 17 – Aimee and I had such a nice time with Mom yesterday. We took her to lunch where they treated her to a birthday balloon with cow print on it and a free hot fudge sundae. Then we went clothes shopping. She ended up with a whole sack full; skirt, three blouses and two jackets. What a fun day!! It is hard to believe Mom is really 82; she certainly doesn’t act it! Tomorrow is babysitting day. Tristan and Lily will be here in the morning for a couple of hours and Tiffany will be bringing the twins if they feel okay. One of them was sick on Wednesday, so she may have to cancel. I took this shot of a mature Burdock plant right in front of my house. The burs are just waiting to catch a ride on someone’s pant leg. Looks to me like a dandelion seed might have hitched a ride along with them.

Wow, such detail. I can see those little sticky burs just waiting for a pant leg or bare skin to walk by. Maybe even a dog with a lot of hair as well?!
I hope Tiffany was able to make it out and that the twins are feeling better. Hope you enjoyed your time with Tristan and Lily too!
