Day 9 Ouch!! Where Are The Bears?
Saturday, January 9 – A shot from Billi’s cabin deck of a squirrel feeder and what appeared to me as one heck of a way to keep the bears away. That is exactly what the nails are for. The former owner said he had cubs right there behind the cabin in the past. Make sure to click on the photo to take a closer look, like always. We have lovely weather today and the snow is melting like crazy at 40 degrees.

Bears would get mad and tear down the fence, feeder and all!
They used to protect wilderness cabins like this, but the nails were about 6 inches long…
