Day 193 Christmas in July – New Toys Have Arrived
Monday, July 12 – The UPS man brought my new Really Right Stuff ballhead this morning along with the mounting plates for my cameras and lenses. I am especially excited about the L plate for my 5DM2. It makes shooting vertical very easy and you don’t have to move from where the tripod is already set up from doing  a previous horizontal shot. I ordered my Flashpoint tripod (legs) months ago and now am all set to head to the Glacier Park workshop. Bryan Peterson recommended this setup, so he should be pleased to see that is what I am bringing with me. According to him, this is the only tripod and ball head that I will ever need. I sure hope that I can get used to using a ball head. It is certainly different from what I am used to. Not the greatest shot, but I am in a hurry to go try it out and this table view will just have to do for now. Will have to replace it when I get a better shot. We went to town to have supper at the German place downtown. They have a buffet that evidentally is very good. When we got there it was very quiet(maybe 5 other people). Then the invasion started. It was crazy. The poor gal was not prepared for that kind of crowd and was running out of food. What we had, Walter liked alot. I am not much for that kind of cooking/food. Walter loves anything that has sauerkraut involved and there was plenty of that.

Nice looking set up. Can’t wait to see it in action! I better start lifting weights since I’ll be carrying some of that! =) What else do they have to eat at the German place besides sauerkraut. A little goes a long way for me but I like it.
