Day 60 On the way home
Just got back from doing chores and checking the cows. Lost one calf today;drowned in the creek and it was one of my best registered cows too. I have never understood what would possess a cow to back up to a creek bank and dump her calf in. That is how it goes when the weather gets nice. We did have 5 live, healthy ones during the 60 plus temp day. Perfect calving weather; couldn’t ask for better. So we will be moving them to another pasture with no creek to fall in tomorrow. It seems to happen every year and that is when we get the signal it is time to move.
Jenn and I took a road trip to Missoula yesterday to visit the camera store there. I got an adaptor for my polarizing filter, UV filter for my new lens and a new MRock camera bag for the camera. I have one for my 40D and this one is just the same only longer to accommodate a bigger lens. We also visited the scrapbook store. Picked up some paper for recipes and also some kits for my mom’s recipe collection. We also found some of the things we need for Kolette Hall’s class. On the way over we stopped at Highcountry to get some jerky for the guys and some fudge for breakfaast. On the way home we stopped just outside of Lincoln to grab some shots. A couple nice areas that I need to visit again when spring comes.

Love the creek/river photos. Makes one feel like they are looking at it in person rather than in a photo. Nice job!
No calves here yet. Today was the first day any might happen to arrive. We timed it that way on purpose hoping that they would arrive after wrestling season when Rick would be home more.
Check your voicemail on your cell phone and get back to me when you get a minute.
