Day 308 A Brief Break
Saturday, November 5 – We had a brief break in the showers so I decided to get a landscape. This workshop was the best I have ever been too. Lots of classroom lecture and then they turned us loose to shoot. It was up to us to use what we had learned and apply. No hints of what lens to use, but they were always handy to give some advice. Each night we were up until the wee hours putting together our 4 images for critiquing in the morning. I learned so much!! Can not wait for the next one which is in Arches/Canyonlands. I found out that the Canon 5DM2 has focusing issues and has to be adjusted for each lens. Not sure I would have purchased it if I had known that.

That’s not good news about the new camera. Did you experience these focusing issues?
HA! another river of sand…{!-{>
If the 5D is like the 7D it is a “fairly” easy process to adjust focus. I want to try to adjust the micro focus for my 70-300. Check you manual to see what has to be done, and we can take an afternoon and do it!
It seems dependent on the distance your focus at, so if the weather isn’t good maybe we can use one of your big barns at the museum… I have printed out a focus target already for my 7D.
