We know, we know!!!!! We decided these were Western Pasqueflower. They areclosedup and look quite different when they are open.
Would never have guessed by looking at the photo of just the opened flower. I could not find a thing in any of my books that even resembled what I took a photo of. But now that I have the name, sure enough, when googled, it does look like the unopened Western Pasqueflower. Thanks for the info, Leslee.
