Day 313 Weird Looking Feathered Friends
These Marabou Storks are mighty weird looking. They have a throat pouch that is very strange. Not all birds had them, so I assume that they can inflate them when they want. My bird book even describes them as an ugly bird. They look like vultures to me. The white bird hanging out with them is a Yellow Billed Stork. Our weather is still forecast to change on Thursday and not for the better. The word blizzard appeared on the online weather I just looked at.

Interesting!! Now Curtis will be wanting to go there for all these different birds. Not looking forward to the predicted forecast either!
How did you keep track of all the different species??? Did you have a book where you wrote the names down.\????
Most from memory and I do have a book I use for reference to double check. Our guide told us what each bird was. I wish I had written them in a notebook as we drove, but my memory really proved to be fairly good. It has been fun finding those I forgot. Most of us ended up having the same reference book even.
